A research project, not a product site.

VetCaseAudit is a research project. Veterinary manuscripts are checked against reporting checklists. Every finding is tied to a quote from the submitted text. The running instance is used internally. There is no public registration.

Access is by invitation only, for people who already work with it.

What the software does

VetCaseAudit screens a manuscript or case report item by item against a published, immutable checklist version. Every finding in the report carries a verbatim quote from the submitted text. Quotes that do not occur there are shown as unverified. The report exports as PDF and as JSON.

Four checklists are available: STROBE-Vet, Vet-CASE Core, NEURO-5D and ARRIVE 2.0. The analysis splits the text into overlapping chunks, judges each chunk against every item, verifies every quote server-side, and merges the partial results deterministically.

What it does not do

This list is here because it decides whether VetCaseAudit is useful for a given screening today. Nothing on it is promised with a date.

Not peer review, not a diagnosis. It checks whether something is reported, not whether it is correct. Verdicts are AI-generated and can be wrong.
No mass screening. There is no batch mode across many manuscripts at once. One document, one checklist, one report.
No SSO. No connection to Shibboleth, SAML or identity management. Access runs through invitation and password.
No self-registration. Nobody can create an account for themselves. There is no public registration.
Limited concurrency. Only a limited number of analyses run at the same time. Further ones wait rather than slowing the application down for everyone.
Evidence positions in the PDF are not yet character-exact. The report jumps to the right page and marks the location. Exact character highlighting in the PDF comes later.
No version comparison. You can upload a revised manuscript as a new version and screen it again, but the application does not yet put the two reports side by side.
No checklists of your own. Users authoring their own checklists is not planned for version 1.
The application is English-only. This website exists in German and English. The application's interface and its reports are in English only.

Status

The software is running. We use it internally and with test and cooperation partners.
